This last week I have been very busy making the final touches to my Report by nailing down the layout, developing my concepts, sourcing visuals and bringing my research together. This has been challenging but rewarding seeing it all come together. Throughout this blog I have documented my journey and it has made me challenge some of my ideas which has ultimately led to more developed work within the final draft.

Included within this is how my perceptual map has moved on from when I first created one in preparation for my presentation. The feedback for it was being told that visualising my perceptual maps would be stronger, and so I ended up revisiting the concept to further develop my portrayal of brand positioning. I did this by using colour to represent the brands rather than just their logos, I think this ties it together as a more visual representation with the use of the key to understand it.

As well as this I also ended up doing a second perceptual map, as I wanted my work to be as thorough as possible with consideration to more points of parity and the possibility of future developments impacting their standings. I think this has definitely come a long way from my first designs of perceptual maps for work that is stronger and provides a better basis for my ideas to stand upon.

My use of mock ups also came a long way, and they are incorporated throughout my report for representation of identity and strong visuals to bring the brand to life. Above is an example of how they brand might expand their offerings down the line, taking my primary research into consideration as well as trends impacting the market environment I was able to develop a beard styling range. Further mock ups also helped to get across my ideas with how this would develop with incorporation into the collaboration and beyond. I believe my use of mock ups to be one of the strong points to my work and think they have drastically improved the standard overall.

#PROPERshave

In my last post I toyed around with the idea of incorporating the slogan 'discover a proper shave' and even went on to look at the idea...
