I have spent the week developing and finalising my presentation boards and brand book to make them of a higher standard through taking the tutors feedback from my last post as well as from during the one to one tutorials.

I think my boards came together well and looked impactful within the context of the exhibition, a few of the most successful elements in my opinion include my physical mock ups as I decided to move my work one step further by creating real life, touchable creations to bring the brand to life. These were of the logo being represented on different materials, one was engraved into wood whilst the other was etched into metal. As well as this, I am happy with the way it flows as a group of work, with the presentation boards being a good summary of the wider content I included within the brand book, they also sit closely side by side as a strong family of work with the visual identities being consistent across documents. One thing I wish I could have improved about my work, however, is the fact that I never got to take my own photographs of the product to get this angle on the brands identity, the reason for this was that the designer kept pushing back the date I was allowed to borrow it from him until it was too late for me to do so, therefore this was a big limitation in being able to produce everything I wanted. I attempted to combat this in some areas by using Photoshop to the best of my ability to place it onto relevant backgrounds such as within the 'win a proper shave' mock up.
From now on I will be focusing my efforts solely on the report side of the project, and will be finalising my word count and beginning to incorporate it into Indesign where I will be attempting to create a professional document that still reflects the identity of Beard & Blade, just in a different format.
